In recognition of John's critical contributions to the design and construction of the ATLAS Forward Calorimeter. His leadership roles in U.S. ATLAS as the Chair of the Institute Board and as the Arizona group leader, as well as in the ATLAS Liquid Argon community have earned him the respect of the entire ATLAS collaboration.
